Mansion Vacation Rentals: Orlando's Wackiest Adventures

If you are considering a trip to Orlando, and enjoy partaking in some wacky and weird adventures, we have plenty in our area to keep you busy and engaged. While you'll find plenty of theme parks near our mansion vacation rentals, Orlando offer far more than theme parks, including the following.

Visit The Holy Land

If you've longed to take a trip to Israel but haven't started to plan, The Holy Land Experience in Orlando might be a good alternative. Billed as a living biblical museum, the exhibits include the largest indoor replica of Jerusalem in the world, designed to look just as it would have during the days when Jesus ministered in the city. Throughout the day, a variety of shows are presented and any biblical scholars will be impressed by the collection of artifacts in the Scriptorium, a museum/library where you can view original scrolls and manuscripts.

If you are traveling with kids, but wish to bypass the theme parks, Wonderworks might be a great option. This unique "amusement park for the mind,"is located about 30 minutes from our mansion vacation rentals. Orlando guests will enjoy experiences such as the Physical Challenge Zone where you can rest on a bed of nails or spend some time in a bubble laboratory. The Natural Disasters Zone allows guests to experience the jolt of a 5.3 earthquake or the force of a category 1 hurricane. Oh, did we forget to mention that the building that houses Wonderworks is upside down? That alone is worth a drive by, at the very least.

The Presidents Hall of Fame

Combine your visit to Orlando with a visit to Washington, D.C. This unique museum includes a huge model of the White House, where you can view the interior of each of its grand rooms. Another exhibit allows you to views replicas of all of our First Lady's inaugural gowns. You can even take a fun group picture in front of the model of Mt. Rushmore. The best part about this museum is that it is located in Clermont, the same picturesque town where you'll find our amazing mansion properties.

Weeki Wachee Springs State Park

If you are searching for a unique day trip, this funky state park is about 90 minutes from our mansion vacation rentals in Orlando. One of the biggest draws to this park is the mermaid show, a recreation of Hans Christian Andersen's The Little Mermaid, which takes place in a submerged 400-seat auditorium. There are also wildlife shows where you can view and enjoy native Florida creatures such as snakes, exotic birds and alligators. You also can take a riverboat ride down the Weeki Wachee River, learning about local flora and fauna and viewing animals such as bald eagles, deer and turtles.

Chocolate Kingdom

For those with a sweet tooth, a visit to Chocolate Kingdom might be in order. Located about 45 minutes from our mansions vacation rentals in Orlando, this Kissimmee attraction offers factory tours as well as interactive chocolate making experiences. During a tour, you will learn how the cacao bean transforms into luscious chocolate, and there are plenty of samples along the way. This tour would be a wonderful option for any of our guests staying at our Sweet Escape property, which features a chocolate and candy theme, inside and out.
